Ecco due fotografie di un'antica pietra posta su un'angolo della facciata della Basilica di San Maurizio di Pinerolo in provincia di Torino - Piemonte - Italia. Si ritiene che sia particolarmente antica (forse risalente al periodo longobardo) ed è caratterizzata da segni scolpiti che lasciano intravedere tre serie sovrapposte di tre forme geometriche a cinque punte - potrebbero rappresentare simbolicamente fiori o potrebbe essere un simbolo pentacolare che, come ci illustra anche Wikipedia (si veda la relativa voce) un tempo non legato alla figura di Satana ma era utilizzato nel culto di Venere, della creazione, o rappresentare i cinque elementi metafisici. Probabilmente si tratta di un reperto della precedente costruzione posta in cima alla collina dove ora sorge la Basilica di San Maurizio.
